McMillan Adult Book Club - The Feather Thief In-Person

Join us for a informal, fun, and lively group discussion every month! No need to sign up!

Copies of each read will be available at the Service desk. Books are on a first come, first serve basis although we make every effort to select books that are readily available in the South Central Library System. Ebooks and audiobooks are also available from Wisconsin's Digital Library / the Libby app.  The month we'll be reading The Feather Thief by Kirk W. Johnson.

On a cool June evening in 2009, twenty-year-old American flautist Edwin Rist grabbed hundreds of bird skins - some collected 150 years earlier - and escaped into the darkness. Two years later, Kirk Wallace Johnson was consumed by the strange case of the feather thief. What would possess a person to steal dead birds? This is the gripping story of a bizarre and shocking crime, and one man's relentless pursuit of justice.
