Craft project and Stories with Jackie Redwoman In-Person
Ottawa Nation elder Jackie Redwoman, a Native American cultural teacher and storyteller is coming to the library. The theme of this all-day family event is "The honor of one is the honor of all". All ages are welcome to create a beautiful fall themed craft project as you progress from table to table . As you build your project (look at the attached image) Jackie will tell the stories that inform the projects and explain their cultural significance.
Snacks served will include dried fruits, pumpkin seeds, acorn beard, herbal tea and honey.
Anyone who would like to help guide their children with their projects is welcome.
